Episode 136 - The Dead Don't Die/Slaughterhouse Rulez
Wednesday Jun 19, 2019
Wednesday Jun 19, 2019
Frack yeah! We've got a new episode dedicated to the dangers of fracking (apparently)! We inadvertently picked two films that involve fracking and its consequences, namely unleashing sub-Earth dwelling creatures and raising the dead from their graves. Check out our reviews of Jim Jarmusch's zombie comedy The Dead Don't Die as well as the Simon Pegg and Nick Frost produced Slaughterhouse Rulez.
Speaking of Pegg and Frost, we've also got some Horror Business about their next project. We also discuss a haunted witch prison in Real World Horror, plus some news on Ghostbusters 3, Candyman, and a Blair Witch video game. We also discuss Blumhouse's curious decision to make a horror movie based on the Magic 8 Ball toy. We also go on our usual rants and raves about tangentially related topics.
So dig in to a new fracking episode of the one, the only Grave Plot Podcast.

Episode 135 - Brightburn/The Perfection
Thursday Jun 06, 2019
Thursday Jun 06, 2019
Okay, so first off let us apologize to those of you who were looking forward to our review of Godzilla: King of the Monsters. To paraphrase Dr. Ian Malcom, life, uh... got in the way. However, when we read articles about a Netflix movie that was making people sick, we thought "challenge accepted!" So enjoy our review of The Perfection as well as the previously advertised review of the superhero horror Brightburn.
Of course, before we do all that, we gotta do that Horror Business. We kick things off with Real World Horror, wherein we tell you why our own backyard will soon be teeming with haunted forests. We go on to discuss the upcoming sequel to the killer clown film Terrifier. Speaking of clowns, we also introduce you to Nevada's famous Clown Motel and a board game featuring Pennywise and the Losers Club. We've also got stories on how the Ghostbusters met and a new Stephen King film adaptation from the director of TROLLLLL HUN-TER.
So put on your pointy hats and grab some punch because it's party time, bitches. Let's rock 'n' roll.

Episode 134 - Body at Brighton Rock/The Ranger
Wednesday May 22, 2019
Wednesday May 22, 2019
WARNING: Tony screwed up and this entire episode was recorded through a laptop mic instead of our fancy audio set up. So... sorry. Deal with it.
Gear up Grave Plot faithful, because today we're honoring the fine men and women of our National Parks Service in our first (and likely last) salute to Park Rangers. Listen in to our reviews of Jenn Wexler's The Ranger and Roxanne Benjamin's Body at Brighton Rock.
But first things first, and Horror Business comes first. In Real World Horror, we discuss a recent discovery in Nepal that may (or may not) hint at the existence of a long-lived legend. We then move on to news of yet another comedian taking on the horror genre, the re-reboot of a classic franchise, an exciting (maybe?) upcoming video game featuring a familiar character, the diversification of a well-known film festival, and the diversification of a well-known band into film.
We've packed all that into our nap sacks along with a heap of our classic irreverent and nonsensical humor that you know you love oh so much.
So strap on those hiking boots and come along with us!

Episode 133 - Crypticon Seattle 2019
Wednesday May 08, 2019
Wednesday May 08, 2019
We have, once again, returned from the haunted halls of Crypticon Seattle. This year's event was crawling with creatures of all sizes, from pint-sized Predators to a life-sized velociraptor.
For us specifically, the weekend consisted of talking to a group of "modern monsters," a debate on what is - and isn't - horror, and a class on making your own Jason mask. Speaking of Crystal Lake's favorite son, Tony talked about the franchise's legacy and Taylor got roughed up by the man himself.
To hear these stories and more, listen to our sixth annual retrospective on the largest gathering of the macabre in the Pacific Northwest and make sure to check out our photo gallery.

Episode 132 - The Field Guide to Evil/Errementari: The Blacksmith and the Devil
Wednesday Apr 24, 2019
Wednesday Apr 24, 2019
Well hey there folks! Good to see you once again for a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast!
Did someone say folk? Well that's a great tie-in for today's episode, which is all about horror in folklore. We span the entire globe with the multi-national anthology The Field Guide to Evil, with fables spanning across Turkey, India, and even the good ol' U. S. of A. We also talk about the classic story of the blacksmith and the devil with the Spanish film Errementari.
We also discuss a depressing Real World Horror story about devil worship, yet another addition to the Walking Dead universe, and a brand new travel show featuring Robert Englund. Not enough for you? Okay, you greedy bastards, how about updates on not just Terrifier 2 but part 3 as well? Still not enough? How about a whole freaking label dedicated to horror from Sony? IS THAT ENOUGH? WHEN WILL IT EVER BE ENOUGH FOR YOU?
I'm going to go cry into my cereal now, I hope you're happy. Just listen to this new episode.
Or whatever.

Episode 131 - Pet Sematary (2019)/Misery
Wednesday Apr 10, 2019
Wednesday Apr 10, 2019
Sometimes dead is better. You have to wonder if a film adaptation of Pet Sematary was best left alone, or if it could benefit from a fresh take. Well, wonder no longer because we are here to talk about the brand new adaptation of Stephen King's famous novel. Speaking of the great Mr. King, we also discuss another one of his most famous adaptations, 1990's Misery.
Before all that, though, we must discuss some Horror Business. In Real World Horror, we talk about the strange things afoot at the Market Basket in Wilmington, Mass. Is the frozen food aisle some kind of gateway to the other side? Listen and find out.
We also talk about the probably-unnecessary remake of The Craft coming from Blumhouse, an update on who's playing the new Candyman in the new Candyman, and a new documentary about Sleepaway Camp. We've also got news on a fresh chapter in the Pan's Labyrinth story, plus details on what the future holds for the aforementioned Pet Sematary.
You can also find out where we'll be at this year's Crypticon Seattle, hear us talk about WrestleMania, and endure more of our unique brand of irreverence found only on The Grave Plot Podcast.

Don't look now but we're back once again with a brand new episode and we're talking about the movie everyone is talking about. Only we do it with that trademark Grave Plot Podcast stank.
Naturally we kick things off with Real World Horror, where we discuss the continuing search for extraterrestrials with none other than Blink-182 guitarist Tom Delonge. In Horror Business, we talk about the directorial debut of Dave Franco, which somehow turned into comparing him to a raccoon. We then move on to a long-gestating Stephen King adaptation that looks to finally see the big screen. Then there's a conversation on which movie Darren Lynn Bousman wants to reboot, a new Netflix series about kids taking on armies of monsters and zombies, plus a brand new video game from the creators of "Left 4 Dead."
Finally we get to our movie reviews, where we start things off discussing the independent werewolf movie Bonehill Road. Featuring genre icon Linnea Quigley and practical wolf effects, is it worth adding to the list of lycan films? Listen and find out. Also find out our thoughts on Jordan Peele's Us. It's the movie that's got everyone talking and we're no different. Hear us break it down in the way only we can.

Yes lad, how's about yee? In honor of the upcoming St. Patrick's Day holiday, we head to the emerald isle for our annual tribute to Irish horror!
In today's episode, we feature a double dose of sin as we discuss the ghost story The Canal as well as the supernatural thriller Let Us Prey. Both of this films feature Irish directors and were financed by the Irish Film Board. If you miss this one, well then may the cat eat you and may the devil eat the cat.
We've also got that sweet, sweet Horror Business for you. In Real World Horror, we discuss some recently discovered "witch marks" in England caves. We go on to talk about sequels to Escape Room, Candyman, and Ghostbusters, plus stories on Joe Bob Briggs and a Universal Monsters theme park. We also, naturally, have our Horror Business segment, including a Real World Horror story about a booby trapped house that almost ended tragically. Apparently that's what they call "Home Alone, Philly style." Okay, then. We also talk about the announcement of a sequel to one of our favorite films from last year, Terrifier. There's also talk about Netflix adapting a new story by Joe Hill, a reboot of "Are You Afraid of the Dark?," and we try to make sense of the Alien universe. Finally, we discuss the 60s kid show "The Banana Splits." You'll see why.

Episode 127 - X-Ray/Lovers Lane
Wednesday Feb 13, 2019
Wednesday Feb 13, 2019
Happy Valentine's Day, lovers! We hope you are all snuggled up with someone close to you because for the first time ever, we're not close to each other. That's because we're doing this episode remotely from opposite ends of the frozen tundra that currently is the Puget Sound region. But fear not, sweethearts, we've got a gift for you that's better than a box of chocolates. It's a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast!
Check out our holiday-themed movies as we review the films Lovers Lane and X-Ray (which doesn't sound like a Valentine's Day movie unless you go by its other name, Be My Valentine, or Else... Oh, and it's also called Hospital Massacre and Ward 13). These movies feature plenty of love, cherubs, romance, and blood and guts. Only part of that is true.
We also have some sweet, sweet Horror Business for you, including a Real World Horror story about a rich neighborhood turned on its head by a grisly discovery inside a suitcase. We go on to discuss the updated plans for the Universal monsters as well an update on the sequel to Halloween. We also talk about a new zombie film from Zack Snyder plus latest on the new adaptation of Stephen King's "The Stand" and Chucky's trip to the small screen.
So grab a loved one and cuddle up with a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast.
