Episode 85 - Crypticon Seattle 2017 in 3D
Wednesday May 10, 2017
Wednesday May 10, 2017
Gather round, one and all, and hear tale of Crypticon Seattle 2017. Hear the legends of three straight days of chills, thrills, and frights. Hear of beasts, creatures, and killers illuminating the big screen with short films such as Luchagore's "Bestia" or Timothy Troy's "Ding Dong." Not Timothy's... never mind. Where was I? Oh yeah. Hear the terrifying tale of a puppet come to life, hellbent on murder. Listen close as we tell you all about the monsters that roam the halls of the Double Tree Inn. And guess what? The legends... are true.
That's right, we're back from the latest Crypticon, the largest gathering of the macabre in the Pacific Northwest. It was an amazing weekend, jam packed with films, interviews, panels and parties. We discuss things like PG-13 horror, the most epic of horror battles, and the scandalous Casket List, where we discuss who in horror we would most like to get between the sheets. We also hear straight from the filmmaker's mouths when we talk to Gigi Saul Guerrero, Luke Bramley, Raynor Shima, and Jordan Williams from Luchagore Productions about the elusive #ProjectLucha, which has finally been unearthed. We also get an EXCLUSIVE update about the film Puppet Killer from director Lisa Ovies herself, who was joined by star Lisa Durupt. If you heard last year's episode, you know we have an... interesting relationship with Lisa and this year was no different.
So give it a listen, check out our photos, let us know what you think about our panel discussions, let us know if you were there and if you weren't, WHY THE HELL NOT? We hope to see as many of you as possible next year!

Disclaimer: This episode was recorded with the microphone on Tony's laptop so it's not up to our usual quality standards, however the content is the same old absurd irreverence that you're used to.
After talking about "Cosmic Monster" on the Beyond the Void podcast earlier this week, we decided to continue the trend by discussing the cosmic horrors of From Beyond and The Void!
We also took care of some Horror Business, including United Airlines' worst week ever in Real World Horror. We also covered the latest news out of the Universal Monsters cinematic universe, plus TV news surrounding King Kong, The X-Files, and Locke and Key. Finally, we had a conversation about how IT is affecting the lives of real clowns.
So let's make a mess, because it's time for another episode of The Grave Plot Podcast!

Episode 81 - Frailty/The Amityville Horror (2005) w/ Max Zaleski
Monday Mar 20, 2017
Monday Mar 20, 2017
Disclaimer: This episode was originally supposed to air on Wednesday, March 15. However, the audio files were corrupted. We were able to repair them (by purchasing a brand new hard drive) so here we are. It's still a little choppy in parts, but better late than never. Enjoy.
This episode is the first ever Grave Plot Podcast Vendetta. SkeleTony and Taylor of Terror each forced the other to review a movie that they knew the other person hates, namely Frailty and the 2005 remake of The Amityville Horror. To settle the score, we brought in special guest referee Max Health from 3-2-1 Battle Wrestling, who listeners of the show may recognize as Max Zaleski.
Before we get to the main event, however, we have a discussion about nudity in horror, and cover Horror Business that includes a Real World Horror story about wild nuclear boars. We also discuss a horror version of The Wizard of Oz, a sequel to It, and a new zombie show coming from Netflix. We also talk about a movie about photographs and you'll never guess what movie MoMA is adding to its collection.
Put it in your ears and let it seep into your brain.

Hello lovers! It's Valentine's Day and we've got the loves of our lives in studio with us for a very special episode. No, we're not talking about our WAGs, we're talking about Sylas Dall and Kodi Reynolds, hosts of The K&S Show podcast and filmmakers behind the upcoming horror flick They Reach.
Today's Real World Horror story is perfect for the occasion, as it's all about dating and hearts. We didn't bring you flowers, but we did bring two movie reviews. Today we discuss both the 1981 original, as well as the 2009 remake, of the film My Bloody Valentine. Get it? Sure, lots of podcasts are doing it, but how many others have conversations about ass eating, foot jobs, and dirt orgies? Nobody does it like The Grave Plot Podcast!
