Wednesday Oct 21, 2020
Wednesday Oct 21, 2020
Going into this episode, even we didn't know what we would be watching. The reason for that is because we let our Patreon patrons pick the theme of this episode and they led us into the briny deep for the first ever Week of the Sea Creature!
Before we - ahem - dive in to our film reviews, however, we have to handle our Horror Business. We've all heard the stories about razor blades in Halloween candy, but what about razor blades in pizza? We'll tell you the true story in Real World Horror. We then discuss the sci-fi film Monsters of California, directed by non-other than rockstar-turned-UFOlogist Tom DeLonge. We also tell you which avenging serial killer is returning to Showtime (too obvious?) and re-visit that remake of The Others. Finally, we examine Elvira's new comic book and a VR version of the Blair Witch video game.
We then head into the wild blue yonder as we review the sea monster horror films known as Leviathan and The Host. So put on your speedos and bikinis and get wet with a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast.

Summer's over. The sunny weather has gone away, the leaves have all turned brown. There's a nip in the air and pumpkin spice is everywhere. So let's have one last end-of-summer rager!
Let's kick things off with Real World Horror about the "Gordon Ramsey of the afterlife." He's mean, he hates dirty dishes, and he calls people idiot sandwiches probably. Listen in for the whole story. Then we talk about Horror Business, including the Travel Channel's "Ghostober" lineup, featuring ghost hunting, ghost hunting with the Osbournes, and more ghost hunting! We go on to discuss Megan Fox's return to horror in a movie filmed during the pandemic, a sequel to the viral hit "Take This Lollipop," and a brand new Five Nights at Freddy's game. We close things out with an update on the end of The Walking Dead, which is actually a setup for even more The Walking Dead.
For our film reviews, we talk about a couple of fresh ones. Recently released on VOD, we first examine the scary concept of being Open 24 Hours. This slasher slid under a lot of radars so make sure to see if it's worth your time. We also discuss the social media fueled Spree, featuring Joe Keery doing it #AllForTheClicks.

Wednesday Sep 09, 2020
Wednesday Sep 09, 2020
Howdy partner! We've got a rootin', tootin' new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast and today we're headed to the wild, wild west to talk about horror westerns!
Before we hit the ol' dusty trail, though, we've gotta talk about this Horror Business. In Real World Horror, we talk about a German graveyard featuring bodies being buried upside down. Why, you ask? Some kind of cult ritual? No, no, it's much simpler than that. It's because of ZOMBIES.
We also play a round of "good news, bad news" with a story on a brand new Haunted Mansion themed movie coming from Disney. Don't get too excited, remember there's bad news. We then reminisce on our times getting drunk and playing Left 4 Dead 2 because there's a new official unofficial update coming for the game! We also discuss a full length version of Jill Gevargizian's The Stylist, a whole franchise coming for Army of the Dead, and we delve into the strange world of Darren Lynn Bousman's One Day Die.
We then rustle up our film reviews. First up, we discuss the new witchy western The Pale Door, featuring Zachary Knighton, Pat Healy, and a gang of outlaws taking on an army of sinister Salem sorceresses. We then head to the snowy Sierra Nevada mountains for Ravenous. This pitch black comedic cannibal film feature Guy Pierce, Robert Carlyle, and - naturally - David Arquette. What could go wrong?
So saddle up and let's ride into the sunset with a brand new Grave Plot Podcast!

Oh you didn't know? Your ass better call somebody. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, welcome to a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast!
After our usual ranting and raving about various goings on in the world, including elections, The Grave Plot Film Fest, and A REMAKE OF THE EXORCIST WHAT, we get down to Horror Business. In Real World Horror, we take a look at the trend of terrifying insects infesting the United States, from murder hornets to the newest threat; zombie cicadas!
We then discuss a new TV show based on David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers, a troublesome pervert getting removed from Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead, and a trilogy of films based on the works of R.L. Stine coming to Netflix. We close out the segment talking about the possibility of a Tusk 2 as well as a VR Walking Dead video game.
For our film reviews, we discuss two new movies directed by people normally affiliated with comedy. First up is The Rental, the Airbnb horror from the trash panda known as Dave Franco. We follow that up with a slasher from the makers of Goon, including writer/director/actor Jay Baruchel, Random Acts of Violence.
So check out this new episode because if you're not down with that, WE GOT TWO WORDS FOR YA.
