Episode 157 - Pro Wrestlers vs. Zombies/Powerbomb
Thursday May 14, 2020
Thursday May 14, 2020
Bet you guys thought this episode was never coming, huh? Well surprise, bitches! We made the mistake of trying to record this through Zoom, and it blew up in our faces. This episode was a mess and took a LOT of clean up. The audio still isn't great, but it's definitely not the worst sounding show we've put out! :D
Ring the damn bell! It's time for Ready to Rumble: Round Two!
For the second time, we're watching two horror movies centering around professional wrestling. Today's double main event features one of the all time greatest feuds. No, not Michaels vs. Janetty. Not Triple H vs. The Rock. Not even Austin vs. McMahon. I'm talking about Pro Wrestlers vs. Zombies. We then send the episode crashing through a table with a massive Powerbomb.
First up, though, we've got the fabulous undercard known as Horror Business. In Real World Horror, we talk about Indonesia's creative way to keep people inside during the COVID-19 pandemic; locking quarantine violators in haunted houses! We also talk about a brand new Goosebumps TV show, an HBO series based on Hellraiser, and a new Netflix program from the director of Train to Busan. We also discuss a new Quibi series and a stay-at-home edition of the Evil Dead 2 escape room from our friends over at Hourglass Escapes.
So slide into your spandex and oil up because it's time for a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast!

Thursday Apr 23, 2020
Hey all you cool cats and kittens. We're back with a brand new episode from within the quarantine zone.
We kick things off with Real World Horror, which features a Purge going down in Louisiana. In Horror Business, we discuss a new streaming series based on The Shining and its famous hotel. Additionally we've got stories on the latest film from Fede Alvarez, as well as reboot news on Hellraiser and The Others. The Others? Who the hell wants to remake The Others? And why? Anyways, we also yearn for the day we can meet again and play the new official Friday the 13th board game.
For our film reviews, we discuss two movies that have little to nothing to do with each other. First off we've got the Johnny Knoxville vehicle We Summon the Darkness, which also features Tony's dream girl, Alexandra Daddario. We then discuss the heaping trash fire known as Glenn Danzig's Verotika.
Some day we will get to go outside, play sports, and party with our friends. Today is not that day. Today is the day to stay at home and listen to a new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast!

Wednesday Apr 08, 2020
We're here to help you stay home and stay sane with a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast.
In today's Real World Horror story, we discuss the possible UFO sighting caught on a livestream from the infamous Skinwalker Ranch. Is it simply a lens flare or lights from a security Jeep? Or is it something more not-of-this-world? It's probably a lens flare or lights from a security Jeep. BUT WHAT IF IT'S NOT?
In Horror Business, we discuss the upcoming sequel to the Korean zombie film Train to Busan as well as the possibility of a trilogy. We also talk about the return of Joe Bob Briggs and The Last Drive-In as well as what you can expect when A Quiet Place Part II finally hits theaters. We wrap things up with a conversation about #RaginCage and the new porcine revenge film Pig and the status of Creep 3.
For our film reviews, we await the rise of the Hunter's Moon to discover what horrors stalk the orchard. Is it werewolves? Yes, obviously it's werewolves. Figure it out. Secondly, we talk about the slasher film The Furies, featuring a most dangerous game between beauties and beasts.

While the entire world seems to be in its own Real World Horror story, we've got our own out of Colorado, where a mother and daughter teamed up to start their own business. Sounds nice, right? Too bad that business is a funeral home and merely a front for their side business; selling dead bodies!
In Horror Business, we discuss the latest in the Scream and Final Destination franchises, a modern-day remake of Dracula (#NoReflection), and possible revivals of Silent Hills and The Real Ghostbusters.
For our reviews, we break down the ins and outs of the new Elijah Wood thriller Come to Daddy as well as Joe Begos's latest, the neon-soaked, drug fueled siege film VFW.

Episode 150 - Rabid/Rabid (2019) w/ Max & Avalon Zaleski
Wednesday Jan 29, 2020
Wednesday Jan 29, 2020
Don't look now but a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast is coming your way.
It's the big 1-5-0 and we go back to our roots with only our second ever "make vs remake" episode. Today we talk about David Cronenberg's 1977 film Rabid as well as the recent remake by Jen & Sylvia Soska. To help us along the way are our old pal Max Zaleski and, for the first time, his wife Avalon. While we originally brought them on to talk about H.P. Lovecraft, they stayed along for the ride when we had to shift gears and we're happy they did.
In addition to all that rabid talk, we've also got a whole buncha Horror Business, starting with Real World Horror which - shockingly - is about the dangers of organized (or unorganized) religion. We've also got some news about EVEN MOAR WALKING DEAD, plus a big name joins Corey Taylor's debut horror film. We also discuss updates on the Don't Breathe sequel, titled Don't Breathe Again, plus not one but TWO upcoming sequels for Art the Clown and Terrifier. Lastly, we examine the latest project from director Gigi Saul Guerrero.
So get your shots because this is going to be one wild episode of The Grave Plot Podcast.

Episode 149 - The Changeling/Eli
Wednesday Jan 15, 2020
Wednesday Jan 15, 2020
You're here, and so are we, so it must be a new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast!
Well, I guess we're not all here. Taylor has left the Grave Yard for a trip to the magical land of poi, leis, tikis, and wild cocks running rampant in the streets.
So, while Taylor lives the island life in Hawaii, our good buddy and director of They Reach, Sylas Dall, came to fill in and he and Tony do a deep dive into the cinematic value of two ghostly films, the 1980 classic, The Changeling and the new-ish Netflix Original, Eli.
And just because Taylor's gone doesn't mean we don't have some Horror Business to tend to. Tony and Sylas discuss the medicinal value of ghostbusting (or witcher-ing?), shed some light on the upcoming Walking Dead feature film and spin-off series, a posthumous literary effort from George Romero, Sam Raimi's latest batch of Evil Dead smoke to blow up our asses, Mike Flanagan's next project, a new Dracula-related TV series from the creator of Riverdale and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and news of the Andy Muschietti-helmed The Howling remake.
So get in loser, we're going crazy.
