Episode 108 - Hellraiser: Judgment/Hellraiser: Revelations
Wednesday Apr 25, 2018
Wednesday Apr 25, 2018
We have such sights to show you in our brand new episode. We take a trip down south, WAY down south, as we review a couple of Hellraiser films. However, we review the two that do NOT have Doug Bradley as Pinhead. Hear our reviews of the ninth and tenth installments in the franchise, Hellraiser: Revelations and Hellraiser: Judgment.
First things first, though. Let's talk Horror Business. In Real World Horror, we tell the tale of a woman who just wants to get her heads. We then discuss the most recent additions to Stranger Things 3, plus updates on AMC's NOS4A2 series and John Krasinski's follow up to A Quiet Place. We wrap things up by talking about a new version of a Full Moon classic and tell you what Neil Blomkamp is up to.
All this and more on a very hell raising episode of The Grave Plot Podcast.
Shall we begin?

First off, we talk about Horror Business, including a story of tech coming to life with people's Alexa-powered devices defying their commands and laughing at them in Real World Horror. We also discuss the theory that A Quiet Place is a secret Cloverfield movie, The Dark Tower TV series, and the future of Evil Dead. We also go on a tangent about the future of The Walking Dead and close out with news of a remake of Fear.
Then we get to our film reviews, where we talk about the Ireland-filmed horror-comedy Grabbers, about space squids who hate booze so a whole town gets trashed to fight them off. Speaking of getting fucked up, we also do Shrooms. I mean... we review the movie Shrooms.

It's time to play the music, it's time to light the lights. It's time to meet the Muppets on The Grave Plot Podcast tonight.
We kick things off with a Real World Horror story about a woman in Oregon who found herself looking like the poster child for The Strain. We also have not one, but two stories about teddy bears causing havoc and horror with updates on the Five Nights at Freddy's movie as well as a new Joe Dante-produced film Teddy Bears are for Lovers. We also talk about a new book presented by R.L. Stine, yet another Sharknado, and - believe it or not - a new Stephen King adaptation.
Originally we intended to have two Kane Hodder films for our reviews, but due to the delay in Death House's release, we only have one. We talk about Adam Green's latest film in the Hatchet franchise, titled Victor Crowley. We also discuss the latest from Netflix and director David Bruckner, The Ritual.

Episode 103 - The Loved Ones/Valentine w/ Lynne & Kristin
Wednesday Feb 14, 2018
Wednesday Feb 14, 2018
Happy Valentine's Day, loves! In honor of this day of romance, we've invited our respective significant others to join us. Neither are horror fans so of course they jumped at the opportunity to watch some horror movies!
For our special edition of Real World Horror, we talk about zombie deer and elks and moose as well as monkeys with super herpes. In Horror Business, we give a Women in Horror Month shout out to Roxanne Benjamin, who is releasing her first feature film. We also talk about a Child's Play TV show, a new Purge, and what's next for Victor Crowley. Finally, Lynne and Kristin take the lead on a story about the sequel to Hocus Pocus.
For our movie reviews, we discuss a couple of holiday favorites. Up first is the Denise Richards slasher Valentine from 2001. Our second film is a bit of a stretch to consider a Valentine's Day film but it's all about love so we're going to count it. It's director Sean Byrne's The Loved Ones.
So grab some chocolates, pour a glass of champagne, and cuddle up with a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast.
Enjoy your VD.

Who would have thought we'd ever make it this far? After almost five years, we finally hit the coveted triple digit mark. Welcome to Episode 100 of The Grave Plot Podcast!
We do 100 with two movies deserving of such an honor, horror classics The Shining and The Exorcist. Listen as Tony tries (and fails) not to compare the movies and books and we generally just gush over these two films. You've seen them before, but you've never seen them through the Smirnoff Ice fueled eyes of the Grave Plot boys.
Oh yeah, did I mention Smirnoff Ice was involved?
We also talk Horror Business, including an update on the Slender Man attacks in Real World Horror. We go on to discuss the newest Hellraiser movie, a possible remake of The Creature From the Black Lagoon, an update on the 2018 Halloween film, and the latest news involving the Alien franchise. We close things out talking about which other Stephen King adaptations Gerald's Game director Mike Flanagan might want to tackle next.
In case that's not enough, we also spoke to the co-writer and director of 2017 Grave Plot Award nominee Better Watch Out, Chris Peckover. We discussed film making in Australia, holiday horrors, and Patrick Warburton's big box of gay ornaments.
So check out our big, awesome episode 100 and let's get started on the next hundred.
