Episode 89 - Uncle Sam/Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter/Ronnie Angel
Wednesday Jul 05, 2017
Wednesday Jul 05, 2017
I know we're all still reeling from our Independence Day hangovers but wake the fuck up and use whatever fingers you have left to hit play on a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast. Today's episode is dedicated to the birthday girl herself, the good ol' US of A. These colors don't run so love it or leave it and other such platitudes. America!
In honor of the event, we busted out a six pack of Zima. That's right, Zima's back. From there things got a little crazy as we talked about "Chucky's Bride" in Real World Horror, plus Horror Business stories on things like The Twilight Zone, Dracula, and Max Landis's thoughts on his upcoming An American Werewolf in London remake. We closed things out with a story about yet another attempt at a Supernatural spinoff and by this time we were a few Zimas deep.
We went on to speak to the author of Slashed Dreams and Slashed Dreams 2: The Nightmare Continues, Ronnie Angel. Ronnie told us about all the research he put into his books, including interviews with some of the biggest names in the genre. He also talked about his early days as a blogger and hunting through video stores for that one perfect film. Check out his books on Amazon.
Finally, we got into our All-American movies. We talked about the little-known secret life of former president and five dollar bill model Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter as well as the story of the most famous patriot of all, Uncle Sam. So drink your Pabst Blue American Ribbon (or your Zima), set off your illegally purchased fireworks, and listen to the Grave Plot Podcast, because it's your God-given right as an American!

Episode 88 - Beyond the Gates/Pool Party Massacre
Wednesday Jun 21, 2017
Wednesday Jun 21, 2017
The dream of the 80s is alive at The Grave Plot Podcast. Today we’ve got two movies that are new, but you’d think they were straight out of a bygone era. Beyond the Gates is about a VHS (a what?) board game from another dimension and Pool Party Massacre is a throwback slasher of the best kind.
We’ve also got that good Horror Business for you, including not one, not two, not three, but EIGHTY Peruvian teenagers being simultaneously possessed in Real World Horror. We also discuss the expanding universes of James Wan and the Ghostbusters, plus updates on the Friday the 13th lawsuit, an Are You Afraid of the Dark? movie, and Kevin Smith’s graffiti-inspired horror anthology.
So put on your British Knights, hop in your Delorean, and plug in your Walkman to listen to another brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast.

Episode 87 - Happy Birthday to Me/Happy Birthday
Wednesday Jun 07, 2017
Wednesday Jun 07, 2017
Taylor was gone for this episode and he is missed dearly. How can the show possibly go on without him?
...Is he gone? Okay sweet.
Because the show is definitely going on without him, and good news guys, this episode is awesome. In Taylor's absence, Tony tapped his dad John to fill the chair for his fourth time on the show, and we're having a birthday party up in this bitch. And as things tend to go when John's around, the episode ran a little long.
Tony and John talk about some Horror Business, which informally begins with a long rant about Sharknado 5: Global Swarming (grooooan). Other topics include some changes in cast for The CW's Supernatural, some long awaited news on AMC's forthcoming adaptation of Joe Hill's NOS4A2, and a surprising directorial choice for Godzilla vs Kong.
In celebration of Tony's birthday last week and John's birthday this week, they reviewed the 1981 cult classic Happy Birthday to Me about the most unfortunate 18th birthday ever and 2016's Happy Birthday, which shows why what happens in Mexico, STAYS in Mexico.
So grab your party hat, dish up some cake and ice cream and party the night away with The Grave Plot Podcast!

Episode 86 - Alien/Alien: Covenant/Neil Cohen
Wednesday May 24, 2017
Wednesday May 24, 2017
In this episode, we talk about everything from A to Z. That is, we talk everything from Alien to zombies!
For our movie reviews, we talk about the brand new Alien: Covenant and compare it the 1979’s original Alien. Ridley Scott is back in the director’s chair, how does Covenant stack up?
Before that, we talk to author Neil Cohen about his zombie novels Exit Zero, the upcoming Nuke Jersey, and the series finale, Zombie Democracy. Neil breaks down how his zombies are different and what sets his books apart from the many, many… many other pieces of zombie fiction out there.
We’ve also got a Real World Horror story about a terrible Mother’s Day, and Horror Business including new projects from the Shaun of the Dead and Turbo Kid teams, what the hell is going on with Hellboy, and Jordan Peele and JJ Abrams head to Lovecraft Country. Also, George Romero is back. So… yay?
All this and more on another exciting episode of The Grave Plot Podcast!

Gather round, one and all, and hear tale of Crypticon Seattle 2017. Hear the legends of three straight days of chills, thrills, and frights. Hear of beasts, creatures, and killers illuminating the big screen with short films such as Luchagore's "Bestia" or Timothy Troy's "Ding Dong." Not Timothy's... never mind. Where was I? Oh yeah. Hear the terrifying tale of a puppet come to life, hellbent on murder. Listen close as we tell you all about the monsters that roam the halls of the Double Tree Inn. And guess what? The legends... are true.
That's right, we're back from the latest Crypticon, the largest gathering of the macabre in the Pacific Northwest. It was an amazing weekend, jam packed with films, interviews, panels and parties. We discuss things like PG-13 horror, the most epic of horror battles, and the scandalous Casket List, where we discuss who in horror we would most like to get between the sheets. Episode 84 - From Beyond/The Void
Wednesday Apr 26, 2017
Wednesday Apr 26, 2017
Disclaimer: This episode was recorded with the microphone on Tony's laptop so it's not up to our usual quality standards, however the content is the same old absurd irreverence that you're used to.
After talking about "Cosmic Monster" on the Beyond the Void podcast earlier this week, we decided to continue the trend by discussing the cosmic horrors of From Beyond and The Void!
We also took care of some Horror Business, including United Airlines' worst week ever in Real World Horror. We also covered the latest news out of the Universal Monsters cinematic universe, plus TV news surrounding King Kong, The X-Files, and Locke and Key. Finally, we had a conversation about how IT is affecting the lives of real clowns.
So let's make a mess, because it's time for another episode of The Grave Plot Podcast!

Episode 81 - Frailty/The Amityville Horror (2005) w/ Max Zaleski
Monday Mar 20, 2017
Monday Mar 20, 2017
Disclaimer: This episode was originally supposed to air on Wednesday, March 15. However, the audio files were corrupted. We were able to repair them (by purchasing a brand new hard drive) so here we are. It's still a little choppy in parts, but better late than never. Enjoy.
This episode is the first ever Grave Plot Podcast Vendetta. SkeleTony and Taylor of Terror each forced the other to review a movie that they knew the other person hates, namely Frailty and the 2005 remake of The Amityville Horror. To settle the score, we brought in special guest referee Max Health from 3-2-1 Battle Wrestling, who listeners of the show may recognize as Max Zaleski.
Before we get to the main event, however, we have a discussion about nudity in horror, and cover Horror Business that includes a Real World Horror story about wild nuclear boars. We also discuss a horror version of The Wizard of Oz, a sequel to It, and a new zombie show coming from Netflix. We also talk about a movie about photographs and you'll never guess what movie MoMA is adding to its collection.
Put it in your ears and let it seep into your brain.
