Wednesday Oct 25, 2023
Happy Halloween all you foxes and cockses! When you trick or treat at our place, you always get the good stuff.
Look, I know the sign says "just take one" but we've got TWO brand new Halloween themed films for your little bucket. We discuss Dark Harvest, the story of a sleepy little town with a chilling curse and a horrible monster. Speaking of monsters, the creatures from the hell well are back with The Barn Part II.
What? That's not enough for you? You want more?! Well fine, we've also got a tasty interview with podcaster, paranormal investigator, and ghost hostess Kim Douthit. We cover all things ghostly, ghastly, and ghoulish with topics such as Crypticon, the haunted underground of Seattle, and Kim's unfiltered opinions of certain TV ghost hunters.
Now take your treats and go, you ungrateful little brats! Go off and enjoy a sweet brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast!

Octoberama 2023, Vol. 3 - The Blob (1988)/Feast II: Sloppy Seconds
Wednesday Oct 18, 2023
Wednesday Oct 18, 2023
Webster's Dictionary defines "creature" as... nah, we're not doing that.
What we are doing is the first ever Week of the Creature (Feature), an Octoberama theme selected by our Patreon patrons! We picked two movies featuring some iconic creatures, namely Feast II: Sloppy Seconds, featuring a fast monster with giant sharp teeth, and the opposite of that in the 1988 remake of The Blob, about a big... blob... thing.
We also examine a Real World Horror story, wherein the clowns are back. A creepy clown has been doing... something that apparently a bunch of Scottish pearl clutchers are not finding the fun in.
For Horror Business, we reveal who won the television rights to the Halloween franchise and discuss what the future holds, as well as an update on Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein, a zombie comic adaptation from the makers of Turbo Kid, and a new film packed with horror icons. We then take a look at the creator of The Purge's latest film, featuring an unlikely actor.
All this and more (not really more, aside from our usual brand of nonsense and off-topic diatribes) on a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast!

Octoberama 2023, Vol. 2 – Night of the Creeps/Little Monsters/Langley West
Wednesday Oct 11, 2023
Wednesday Oct 11, 2023
A dark and stormy night. A cold and empty graveyard. One tombstone peeks above the rest, the stone cracked and worn. Suddenly, a hand bursts through the sod. The flesh peels away and the bone underneath shines in the moonlight. Lightning cracks across the sky. It must be Week of the Zombie on The Grave Plot Podcast!
We call this a "Fun Size" episode but we big leagued you instead by giving you a little extra something, like a razor blade in a candy apple! That sweet treat comes in the form of an interview with Langley West, the co-founder of the Bleedingham Film Festival. We discuss the past, present, and future of the horror genre, as well as the perks and perils of running a film festival.
We then dig up the rotting corpses of two undead film reviews. Up first is the 2019 horror comedy Little Monsters, featuring Lupita Nyongo and Josh Gad but NOT Ted McGinley. We then travel back in time to discuss the classicly campy film Night of the Creeps, about slugs from outer space that turn humans into brain dead zombies! Thrill me!
*Editing note: When Langley mentioned Oliver Stone, he actually meant Oliver Reed*

No, that's not a typo, it's a bad Transylvanian accent because this… is Week of the Vampire!
In today's Real World Horror story, we take a look at a women stuck in a well who may not actually exist. Is it a prank? Or something more supernatural? Oooh, spooky.
In Horror Business, we examine a new slasher film from the makers of Turbo Kid, some horror icons coming to Call of Duty, and the possibility of Michael Myers coming to the small screen. We also discuss a new documentary based on a Conjuring case, and a stage play based on Paranormal Activity.
We then gather our stakes and garlic for two undead films! First up is the Shudder exclusive Blood Relatives, written and directed by, and starring, Noah Segan as a 115 year old Yiddish bloodsucker who finds himself in a familiar situation when he finds out he has a long lost daughter. Speaking of ancient vampires with daddy issues, we also discuss the latest Subspecies film, Bloodrise, which serves as an origin story for Radu Vladislas.
So blacken out your windows and sharpen those fangs because if you don't like this episode, we got two words for ya: SUCK IT!

Episode 221 - Natty Knocks/Cheerleader Camp
Wednesday Jul 26, 2023
Wednesday Jul 26, 2023
Do you ever just... stare off into the void and wonder what the world has in store for us? Like... Where do we go when all this ends? What is the purpose of our existence?
We continue these thoughts on the afterlife in Real World Horror, where we take a look at 49ers quarterback Sam Darnold's harrowing experience with the other side when he stayed in teammate George Kittle's possibly haunted pool house. In Horror Business, we instead look at the undead with a new Korean reality show pitting everyday Joes and Janes against hordes of zombies, as well as a reboot of Return of the Living Dead. We also head to the UK for FrightFest and Ted Raimi's new film, flip through the pages of an American Psycho comic book, and come back to the states to explore the Mall of America's haunted attraction.
For our film reviews, we grab our pom poms and megaphones and do a little rah-rah-rah for the 1988 slasher film Cheerleader Camp. We then close out with the new flick featuring horror royalty, Natty Knocks, starring Bill Moseley, Danielle Harris, and Robert Englund.
So stuff that ennui down next to your nihilism and waste away the next couple hours of your life with a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast.

Episode 220 - Malignant/The Retaliators (Patreon picks)
Wednesday Jul 12, 2023
Wednesday Jul 12, 2023
One of us, one of us, gooble gobble, one of us!
We let our Patreon patrons, aka Grave Diggers, pick these episode's movies! The selections ultimately were James Wan's Malignant as well as the nu-metal-artist-laden bloody thriller The Retaliators. So... yeah. THANKS, GUYS.
Before we do that, however, we gotta talk Horror Business. In Real World Horror, we relay the story of someone else's story about maybe seeing a Mothman or a ghost or a little green ghoul. Or maybe a barn owl. We move on to discuss a new Texas Chainsaw Massacre board game, how everything is better with (Kevin) Bacon, and a sci-fi thriller featuring the stars of From Dusk Till Dawn and Breaking Bad. We then take a trip to the *dark web* and examine the possibility of a sequel to this month's new Haunted Mansion movie.
So buckle up, buttercup, and get ready for the ride of your life.

Episode 219 - Friday the 13th/Aliens
Wednesday Jun 28, 2023
Wednesday Jun 28, 2023
Hey party people. Who's ready to rock and roll?
Let's kick off the festivities with a Real World Horror story about human trafficking, except the humans are dead and it's just parts. We then discuss a drug kingpin joining a mysterious Universal monster movie, plus a new resident of Hawkins, Indiana, a film based on a thriller novel, and the latest updates on Swamp Thing. We then close out Horror Business with a Hannibal reunion.
For our film reviews, we take a look at a couple classics. We held our first ever Final Fear tournament on social media and narrowed 16 of the best horror films of all time and narrowed it down to two. First up is the winner of the Slasher division, the name amongst names, the iconic Friday the 13th. We then blast off into outer space to examine the winner of the Sci-Fi division, James Cameron's Aliens.
So grab a can of your favorite beverage and let's get this party started.
